ON THE DAY WHEN THE WEIGHT DEADENS ON YOUR SHOULDERS AND YOU STUMBLE,MAY THE CLAY DANCE TO BALANCE YOU.AND WHEN YOUR EYES FREEZE BEHIND THE GREY WINDOW AND THE GHOST OF LOSS GETS IN TO YOU,MAY A FLOCK OF COLOURS,INDIGO, RED, GREEN,AND AZURE BLUE COME TO AWAKEN IN YOU A MEADOW OF DELIGHT.WHEN THE CANVAS FRAYS IN THE CURRACH OF THOUGHT AND A STAIN OF OCEAN BLACKENS BENEATH YOU,MAY THERE COME ACROSS THE WATERS A PATH OF YELLOW MOONLIGHT TO BRING YOU SAFELY HOME.MAY THE NOURISHMENT OF THE EARTH BE YOURS,MAY THE CLARITY OF LIGHT BE YOURS,MAY THE FLUENCY OF THE OCEAN BE YOURS,MAY THE PROTECTION OF THE ANCESTORS BE YOURS.AND SO MAY A SLOW WIND WORK THESE WORDSOF LOVE AROUND YOU,AN INVISIBLE CLOAK TO MIND YOUR LIFE. JOHN O’DONOHUE

I had the beautiful privilege to spend this week with the most truly inspiring, amazing, influential people I have ever met after being nominated to become a Queens Nurse in Scotland. I didn’t know how to join these two parts of myself together. My love for nursing and having beautiful connections with the people of Scotland and their families to help make Scotland the best place for children to grow up and my love for painting and expressing myself through art. This week I feel like a whole person where the two parts of me have naturally come together as one. I feel such beautiful honour and fell immensely inspired to move forward in life as part of the Queens Nurse institute in Scotland. John O’ Donohue just sums up how I’m feeling right at this moment in my life with the protected love from nature and the people of Scotland to move forward on this journey. Thank you to everyone that has helped me on this journey and thank you so much to the Queens Nursing Institute Scotland for embracing me and helping me flourish as one.
