On the day whenthe weight deadenson your shouldersand you stumble, may the clay danceto balance you.And when your eyesfreeze behindthe grey windowand the ghost of lossgets in to you,may a flock of colours, indigo, red, green, and azure bluecome to awaken in youa meadow of delight. When the canvas fraysin the currach of thoughtand a stain of oceanblackens beneath you,may there come across the watersa path of yellow moonlightto bring you safely home.May the nourishment of the earth be yours, may the clarity of light be yours, may the fluency of the ocean be yours, may the protection of the ancestors be yours. And so may a slowwind work these wordsof love around you,an invisible cloakto mind your life.John O’Donohue,

I had the beautiful privilege to spend this week with the most truly amazing, inspiring, influential people I have ever met after being nominated to become a Queens Nurse in Scotland. I didn’t know how to join these two parts of me up. My love for nursing and having beautiful connections with the people of Scotland and their families and my love for painting and expressing myself through art. This week I feel like a whole person where the two parts of me have naturally come together as one. I feel such beautiful honour and feel immensely inspired to move forward in life as part of the Queens Nurse Institute for Scotland. John O’ Donohue just sums up how I’m feeling right at this moment in my life 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you to everyone that has helped me on this journey ❤️🙏😊
